Welcome!
We are so glad that you stopped by our new website; please bookmark this page and check back with us regularly for information about FSU Percussion. Whether you want to be a professional performer, educator, or just want to perform for sold-out crowds at BCS Bowl Games, FSU is the place for you. Our faculty is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art percussion education for the 21st century, and we have scholarships, out-of-state tuition waivers, and four full-time percussion

graduate assistantships to make your education affordable. While FSU boasts the third-largest School of Music in the United States, with 90 full-time faculty and 1000 music majors, we keep the percussion student/teacher ratio low. In other words, the school is large enough to provide an incredible number of performance opportunities with nationally-acclaimed ensembles, yet all percussion students receive extensive individual attention--you will never "get lost" at FSU. We have five bands, two full symphony orchestras, and a plethora of world music, chamber music, and jazz ensembles to provide a well-rounded program of study amongst the most prestigious and comprehensive in the country.

I hope that you will contact us about becoming part of the FSU Percussion Studio and School of Music family, and visit our site often for the latest information on upcoming performances, tours, and guest artists. Again, welcome, and we hope to see you at many FSU Percussion Events!

Sincerely,
Dr. John W. Parks IV, Assistant Professor of Percussion
