MICHELLE
STEBLETON, Asssociate Professor of Horn,
received the B.M. and M.M. degrees from
the University of Michigan, where she studied
with Louis J. Stout and Lowell Greer.
Prior
to joining the FSU faculty, Ms. Stebleton
performed as principal horn in the Midland-Odessa
Symphony and the Lone Star Brass Quintet.
Active in national solo competitions, Ms.
Stebleton has shared second prize in both
the Professional and Natural Horn divisions
of the American Horn Competition. She performed
as soloist and co-host at the 1993 International
Horn Symposium and served as a clinician
at the 1994 First International Swiss Horn
Workshop.
As
a chamber artist, she has performed in Carnegie
Hall and the Kennedy Center with the Florida
State Brass Quintet and as principal horn
with the Vienna Philharmonic Chamber Players
at the Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo,
Japan. Ms. Stebleton currently serves as
principal horn with the Tallahassee Symphony
Orchestra and is a member of the FSU Faculty
Brass Quintet.
