KARYL
LOUWENAAR LUECK, Professor of Piano and
Harpsichord, and Coordinator of Keyboard,
has been at Florida State University since
1972. She received the B.M. degree from
Wheaton College (Illinois), the M.M. degree
from the University of Illinois and the
D.M.A. degree from the Eastman School of
Music.
As
a solo and ensemble recitalist, she has
performed extensively throughout the United
States and in West Germany, appearing frequently
as harpsichordist and fortepianist. Dr.
Louwenaar has recorded for CRI and is the
editor of a publication in Yale University¹s
Collegium Musicum series. She is active
in the Southeastern Historical Keyboard
Society and has received grants from the
National Endowment for the Arts, the State
of Florida, FSU and the German government.
At FSU, Dr. Louwenaar teaches piano, harpsichord,
fortepiano, Baroque Ensemble, and continuo
accompaniment.
