BRYAN
GOFF, Professor of Trumpet and Coordinator
of Winds and Percussion, joined the faculty
of Florida State University in 1974. He
holds the B.M.E. and M.M. degrees from the
University of Colorado. Prior to his FSU
appointment he was trumpet soloist with
the Air Force Academy and taught in Colorado.
He currently plays principal trumpet with
the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra and appears
extensively as a soloist and clinician throughout
the United States and abroad.
Goff
has recently appeared as soloist with the
Florida Symphony and Tallahassee Symphony
and has performed with the Atlanta Symphony,
Colorado Springs Philharmonic, and others.
He studied Baroque trumpet with Edward Tarr
and frequently appears as soloist on that
instrument and with the FSU Baroque Trumpet
ensemble. Professor Goff is past-president
of the National Association of College Wind
and Percussion Instructors, and is on the
Board of Directors of the International
Trumpet Guild, an organization which he
served as Treasurer for 16 years.
