BARBARA
FORD, Associate Professor of Voice, received
the B.M. and M.M. degrees from the University
of Michigan and has won acclaim as a recitalist
by her performances throughout the United
States, Germany, Italy, and the former Soviet
Union. She appeared as soprano soloist at
the Spoleto Festival of Two Worlds, made
her New York debut at Carnegie Recital Hall
in 1974, and has performed a recital at
the National Gallery of Art. Ms. Ford has
appeared in leading opera roles and is equally
at home in the field of French Art Song,
German Lied, and contemporary vocal literature.
She joined the faculty of Florida State
University in 1972.
