PAUL
EBBERS, Associate Professor of Tuba and
Euphonium, joined the faculty of Florida
State University in 1979. Mr. Ebbers studied
with Arnold Jacobs, world renowned wind
pedagogue. He earned a Bachelor of Arts
degree from the University of Northern Iowa,
a Master of Music Degree from Northwestern
University, and pursued doctoral study at
Indiana University.
Mr.
Ebbers is an active performer, instructor,
and ensemble director. He has performed
with the St. Louis Symphony, Pensacola Symphony,
Florida Orchestra, Chicago Civic Orchestra,
and Florida Philharmonic. He has toured
the U.S., Italy, and Germany with the Florida
State Brass Quintet, performing in such
venues as Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy
Center.
Ebbers
is currently principal tubist with the Tallahassee
Symphony Orchestra. He is an active member
of Tubists Universal Brotherhood Association
(T.U.B.A.), and has served as a guest artist
and adjudicator at numerous conferences
for T.U.B.A. and as Secretary/Treasurer
of the Association.
