CLARK, Head of the Warren D. Allen Music
Library, came to the FSU library system
in 1994. Previous positions include head
of the Music Library at James Madison University
and the Music/Dance Library at Ohio University.
He holds a master's degree in music theory
and composition from Ohio State University
and a master's degree in library science
from the University of Illinois, where he
also did graduate work in composition.
Mr.
Clark is active at the regional and national
levels in the Music Library Association
and has served on the joint national MLA/NASM
Library Futures committee, edited a five-state
regional music library newsletter for a
number of years, has made presentations
at MLA regional and national conferences,
and has chaired the Chesapeake Chapter of
MLA, which includes the Library of Congress.
His research interests center around the
definition of a canonical core collection
of books on music as well as the application
of modern technologies in libraries including
the utilization of text-based management
systems.
